Overview
Restriction is ending so bootlegger Vermin Ahearn chooses to crack California society. He rents a residence from down-on-her-luck Ruth and employs her as social assistant. He rescues Polly Cass from a horsefall and goes home to fulfill her papa who sells him some phony stock certifications. When he learns about this he sends out to Chicago for mob help.
