Overview
This little-known German film retells truth tale of the British ocean liner that fulfilled a terrible fate. Ernst Fritz Fürbringer plays the head of state of the White Star Line, that unwisely pushed the Titanic's captain (Otto Wernicke) to make the swiftest feasible crossing to New york city. Remarkably, director Herbert Selpin was apprehended by the Gestapo during this film's production, and also German censors banned the movie for its scenes of panic and also fear.
